Penhaligon's The Omniscient Mr Thompson Sample

What we think:

The Omniscient Mr Thompson has plenty of iris cushioned by orris, with vanilla, nuanced by warm notes.  The style of vanilla here is gourmand-y, but not in an overwhelming way. The hints of leather are upscale and smooth as well, though background. There's a little rum-like booziness as well, and some bubbling warmth underneath from the pink pepper, but this fragrance isn't spicy overall. The sesame has a milky slightly nutty vibe, and is done in a very wearable way. (Don't worry, you won't smell like a bagel!)

Bottom line: The Omniscient Mr Thompson is focused around powdery iris with creamy vanilla, done in a masculine designer cologne style, but with nuances to the different notes that give it some depth once it progresses. Overall we would rate it as unisex leaning slightly masculine.
