What we think:
Velvet Tonka is like a smooth gourmand, in an almond cookie type of way. It smells like walking into a delicious fancy bakery. As far as gourmands go, this is much more on the elegant and classy side - not an overly synthetic sugary teenage type of fragrance. (Not that we think there's anything wrong with the latter - those can have their place too!)
As it dries down further, it has a cigar & vanilla type of vibe that reminds us of a more upscale Mercedes Benz Club Black. Although rose is listed as as note, to us it's very well-blended. We like that it combines nostalgia and sophistication.
