What we think:

We can see why Shalimar Eau de Parfum stood the test of time! it's a really interesting and intriguing combination of light and intensely dark notes. The incense here smells more like a sweet incense burning in a Tibetan shop than the dour church incense type of smell that many fragrances with incense as a note sometimes smell like.  At the same time, it has a citrus burst of freshness in the background, some sweet creaminess from the vanilla and sandalwood, and powdery from the iris and rose. It smells mature, but not nearly as dated as you might think. It's also a lot more unisex than you might guess. We appreciate the nuances of it and can appreciate why it's beloved by so many!
