What we think:
Matiere Noire is very high quality and smooth! Luxurious yet not stuffy, and such an appealing blend of the notes - even for many who don't typically like these type of scent profiles. The blackcurrant doesn't get too astringent/high-pitched, the rose is fresh, the oud isn't too pungent/animalic, the patchouli doesn't go dank, and the other florals are folded in nicely. It leans feminine but we think it's also relatively easily unisex!
