What we think:
Un Air d'Apogee has plenty of hay with warm tobacco leaf, aromatic nuances from anise and sage (without getting too sharply bitter), dry woods, and a honeyed quality - but not at all in a syrupy cloying way, more like making it feel like golden tobacco. The honey comes out more and more by the drydown, but it never gets over the top sweet, and there's always an herbal balance. There's also a smooth worn-in leather by the end as well.
It smells very natural and high quality, and it's known for evoking a sense of nostalgia for many people. Although it's not cheap per se, we actually think it's an excellent price for the quality compared to most niche scents of this type. If you like pipe tobacco/tobacco leaf and hay, totally worth trying!
