What we think:
L'Attesa is a great orris fragrance! It really lets the orris shine, and isn't solely an iris scent. It's airy yet thick, sunny yet cloudy, warm yet cold, and has a creamy and powdery side but doesn't go over the top in those ways. There's a slight sharp effervescent citrus dunked in the orris, and smooth mysore sandalwood. The iris here is kind of lipstick-y, and the leather is upscale and not too, well, leathery or noticeable until later in the drydown.
The opening may be unisex leaning feminine to some, but it's very easily unisex by the drydown, when the leather and oakmoss come out more. Absolutely worth trying if you like orris!
