What we think:
We find this so much more appealing and easily wearable than the typical fougere! The smoky birch in the opening is warm and tantalizing, and progresses into a classy aromatic masculine vibe. The smoked woodsy edges remain, and the dark green notes pick up as it heads towards the dry down. It doesn't go swampy or sour like a lot of fougeres do, which we certainly appreciate. Nice!
Sleight of Fern is part of our upcoming Best Fougeres Collection. (However, we're very particular about what we include in our curated collections... and right now this is the only fougere we truly love enough to include! We don't launch a collection without multiple fragrances in it, so who knows when we'll find another fougere we like this much?)
