What we think:
Velvetine is very unique and ethereal; we keep having to go back for more smells to re-experience it because it uses some common accords but in a way that's completely creative, artistic, and different. It's spices, vanilla, sturdy yet calming green trees, leathery and ambery, and with salty musky ambergris - but that doesn't even come close to describing the way those notes and accords actually interact into forming something new together.
