Scents of Wood Oud in Bourbon Sample

What we think:

Very rich yet not at all stuffy, Oud in Bourbon is super intriguing and captivating! Despite it containing several notes we normally dislike (oud and patchouli for starters), this smells so smooth  and not at all animalic or pungent in the way those notes sometimes are. Scents of Wood are great at elevating notes and accords in general, and making fragrances that are more than the sum of their parts.

The chocolate here is so well done too! So often chocolate either goes too "nesquik powder" or too patchouli-ish for us, but this isn't either. Just the right touch of sweetness without going gourmand. The labdanum adds a slinking leathery ambery vibe that supports the other notes so well.

Oud in Bourbon is extremely high quality, well-blended, and dark yet smooth; badass yet refined at the same time. We would think someone smelled amazing if we walked by and they were wearing this: "Damn, what is that?!" So good.
