What we think:

Eau Duelle EDT is really nice, and we like it even better than the Eau de Parfum version, as we find this one a bit more balanced. It's one of our favorite Diptyque fragrances, and one of our all time favorite vanilla fragrances! This is the kind of scent that just smells good, period.

There's a really nice fresh aromatic side, along with some balsamic and gently smoky qualities. It's not an over the top sweet cloud of cloyingness like some vanillas can be. Instead, it's a great mix of sweet, fresh, and aromatic, with some darker notes as well. We find it pretty unisex.
