What we think:
Close to midnight is a smooth take on the notes listed that's more easily wearable than the typical scent with a mix of ambergris, jasmine, and coffee in the mix. The tonka here is like a powdery vanilla, and works well between the jasmine and the ambery labdanum. The coffee is very subtle and kind of cocoa-like - this isn't a bitter coffee scent at all. The labdanum smoothes out into the ambergris, and the musk here is clean. If you like slightly powder labdanum amber scents, we highly recommend it.
