What we think:

Carnation is so rich that Oeillets Rouges doesn't feel overly simplistic or flat at all, despite being a soliflore. The other notes in it go with carnation very well, and bring out the sweet and spicy nuances. Although some people love this for spring/summer, to us this also shines as a fall and winter scent. The way the warm spice with a touch of sweetness manifests here gives us a holidays vibe, and it's cozy. Overall we find it very unisex.
