Lorenzo Pazzaglia Cherry Ink Sample

What we think:

Wow, Cherry Ink really does smell like, well, cherry ink. We weren't sure what to expect from the notes list - it looked like it could be overwhelmingly sweet, or on the other hand perhaps end up in the "niche potpourri" category. But we enjoy this! We don't even normally like ink notes but the nuances from the cherry, myrrh, benzoin, and some of the other aspects make it palatable to us.

We haven't seen anyone else say this, but to us it comes across leathery as well, in a smooth way. The florals here are smooth too, and add a brightness so the scent isn't overwhelmingly dark or pungent by any means. It's a little powdery from the tonka, and the amber works well with that. The oud here isn't intense at all so even if you don't like oud, we don't think you need to avoid Cherry Ink for that reason.

Overall we find Cherry Ink to be very well-blended, and really a best case scenario for the notes list coming together super well!
