House of Matriarch Bittersweet Symphony Sample

What we think:

When looking at the notes list, we weren't sure how we would feel about Bittersweet Symphony. It has some of our favorite notes, but also some we don't normally like. After smelling it? We ended up loving it!

The authentic oud in Bittersweet Symphony is deep dark woods foresty, yet not pungent. Even the hyrax somehow feels smooth! The tea notes add different types of nuance, and there's a blanket of smooth warm spice as well. The ambergris reminds us of how it's used in Orca by House of Matriarch, another favorite of ours. 

As for the chocolate, the style of cocoa here is like a 98% cacao dark chocolate bar. (Not that the fragrance is bitter overall, just in terms of this not being a sugary chocolate.) Perfect for people looking for a true dark dark cocoa, without it going too sweet. An excellent fragrance!
