What we think:

Rare Fig is surprisingly nice! It starts off with a burst of fresh citrus - and fig is present right from the opening. To us, the opening has some similarities to Acqua di Parma Fico di Amalfi (and a tiny bit of the green creaminess from Diptyque Philosykos). There's an almost coconut-like air to it in the background too. While the very beginning of the opening might lean slightly feminine, it gets woodsier as it dries down, and is completely unisex for most of it.

We love fig as a note, we're always trying new fig fragrances. We would put this one up there with many niche fig fragrances we've tried that cost far more. It's very pleasant and mass-appealing, yet not at all boring or cliche.
