DSH Perfumes Cuir et Champignon Sample

What we think:

Cuir et Champignon is really captivating! We thought it would be way too earthy/dank for us, with the emphasis on mushrooms combined with a lot of the other dark notes in this as well. However, we actually find it way more wearable than expected!

It's unique with a bold scent profile, yet there's a cooling lighter side to it as well so it doesn't smell over the top dirty by any means. The leather accord in this reminds us of a well-worn brown leather jacket (in a good way). It blends well with the other notes, and doesn't smell too "new shoes" leather or, on the other hand, too animalic pungent leather either. The woods, clove, and vetiver are incorporated perfectly, where they back up the richness of the other notes but don't steal the show. The civet and castoreum add a smoky edge but aren't screaming. All-around excellent!
