Tom Ford Grey Vetiver Parfum Sample

What we think:

Nice regal vetiver that's deep and somewhat earthy, but isn't too dirty - and even has a clean sheen to it. It's very rich, yet without being as dark as the usual rich vetiver scent like this is (in what we consider to be a good way).

Classy and professional yet not uptight or snooty, and spicy without having too much heat. The citrus is downplayed here, and the orange blossom just adds a little soapy cleanness but is not very present - it's all about the vetiver.

It may not smell like this to most people, but the way the vetiver is used here actually reminds us a little of the vetiver style in Roja Elysium. It of course has similarities to the other Grey Vetiver scents by Tom Ford, which would be the Eau de Toilette and the Eau de Parfum (especially the EDP), but we like this Parfum version even better than the EDT or EDP.

It also has some similarities to Vetiver by Guerlain, though Grey Vetiver smells a bit more modern. Overall an excellent vetiver scent!
