What we think:

Spiritcask is a great woodsy fragrance with smooth whiskey-tinged edges! It opens as a nice straightforward woodsy scent, with more and more nuance quickly coming out as it progresses.  The style of boozy done here really works for us here, where it truly is like the empty cask and the smooth dry aged wood tinged with the whiskey - and not full on nauseatingly syrupy boozy. There's an airiness to it, and a warm very lightly caramelized maple wood as well.

There's also an herbal quality, in a way that feels both natural and smooth. Toasted guaiac wood completes the scent and ties everything together, reminding you of the cask. 

Making a truly good woodsy scent that doesn't smell generic is easier said than done, but to us they accomplished it well here.
