Our Zoologist Penguin Review:

Penguin completely delivers on everything we hoped it would! A blast of cool fresh air, with a menthol-y quality with how the juniper is done. The juniper isn't too foresty either, it really does have an oceanic cold air quality to it, yet without being sour or grossly salty like so many other scents with that accord can be. It keeps the energetic cold blast of fresh air for quite awhile; this isn't one of those scents where that's just in the opening and disappears.

The fresh air vibe also doesn't come across as synthetic or too ozonic - it's executed perfectly. There's also a cold burn of some bubbling pink pepper under the surface, but it's not sharp at all. The saffron also doesn't go too "synthetic leather"-y or strong, and the labdanum and suede add depth to the full landscape under the ocean surface. The musk is used well here too, and adds nuance and a little bit of a fuzzy feel around the edges that somehow gives it even more of a penguin-esque vibe.

We think it's a great combination of unique, wearable, intriguing, and smelling good! This is the most we've loved a marine scent since Fischersund Flotholt.
