Hey everyone! We're temporarily limiting orders to ensure that packages continue to ship quickly. Here's some additional info with FAQs:
1. What? Why?
Fast shipping has always been important to us. After temporarily closing to evacuate from the LA fires, we didn't want to fall behind when reopening. We would rather make less revenue and be able to ship orders quickly than take your money and keep you waiting for too long!
We're in the process of planning a relocation to a bigger space, where we'll be able to hire more staff to help pack orders. Rest assured, this is only temporary.
1. Can I be notified every time the store re-opens?
We aren't going to have notifications sent out every time the store re-opens, as we expect it to be frequent!
2. How long are you taking to ship? Does this affect transit time?
Most orders ship within 48 hours, and we've never taken longer than 3 business days to ship any order. You may not receive a shipping email until the next business day after it ships, based on certain Shopify settings.
We have no control over transit time after a package is dropped off at the post office. But if USPS does lose your package, we'll take care of you!
3. How often are you reopening?
We anticipate reopening to allow new orders at least once every 1-2 days.
4. How many orders are you taking at a time?
We're accepting 50 orders at a time.
5. If I'm fine waiting longer for it to ship, can I place an order now?
We'd love to say yes - but if we take the time to approve orders on a person by person basis, it would result in slower shipping for everyone. As soon as we move into a bigger warehouse, you can go back to ordering 24/7!
6. How do I know if you're open and taking orders right now or not?
You can always see the "Current Status" section at the top of our Updates page. When we're not taking orders, the cart also won't allow you to proceed with checking out.
In the meantime, you can also use the Wishlist feature to save items you want to order!

Note from Wes, founder of DecantPlanet:
DecantPlanet has grown so much since I started it in 2023, and I appreciate every single one of you!
In 2024, I worked 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, to keep up with packing orders, decanting, sourcing inventory and supplies, and more. The last thing I want is to limit orders! I know how exciting it is to try new fragrances, and I love being part of others getting to do so.
Last year we welcomed a new Customer Service Manager, Brett, and I'm excited to bring on additional staff to pack orders as soon as we relocate. In the meantime, our small team will do our best to be open regularly!
Thank you so much to every person who has ever supported DecantPlanet. We truly appreciate getting to share our passion for fragrance with you - even if you like patchouli!
