Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Pride Edition (2023) Sample

What we think:

We like this a lot! It's a completely different fragrance than the regular Le Male, not just a limited edition bottle. The Pride edition is one of our favorite modern designer scents, and it's great to see such a pure, bright neroli-centered designer fragrance.

It's clean, happy, tart, and sunny, with slightly soapy white florals (with the white florals being neroli and orange blossom, both of which grow on the orange tree - not ones like jasmine or gardenia).

Often these type of scents either end up very bitter orange, or thickly soapy. We think this is a great balance without going too far in either of those directions. Smells very unisex. If you don't like neroli and orange, you likely wouldn't be a fan. But if you do, it's worth trying!

We also respect that they didn't just slap a rainbow on it and call it a pride scent. Jean Paul Gaultier actually went bold with this, and were willing to to stand behind the LGBTQ+ community even though it "pissed off the haters," so to speak. They even included the trans flag in the design - probably a first for a designer fragrance bottle!
