As the LuckyScent product page describes about the inspiration for the scent:

"Also known as witches’ flying ointment, Hexensalbe was a hallucinogenic salve used in witchcraft in the middle ages. It was a mixture of extremely poisonous ingredients but the exact formula is not known, and several occultist scholars have died trying to recreate it. According to legend, it produced an ecstatic trance complete with powerful illusions and the sensation of flight- erotic, delirious, and, in the eyes of puritanical society, dangerous."

As for the smell, Hexensalbe really does smell like a mix of the notes list, which isn't always the case for fragrances. It smells like bitter dark green aromatic herbal plants in nature, with some tuberose poking through (though not an overwhelming amount), and licorice that goes salty rather than sweet. There's a hay-like accord here, maybe from the belladonna. Although it uses so many bitter green notes, it's not over the top sharp as far as those notes go. It's interesting, and we think it's worth trying if the notes list looks up your alley!
