How fast do you ship?

Most orders ship within 48 hours! All orders ship within 3 business days.

When we get too backed up with orders, we temporarily close the cart to ensure that all existing orders continue to ship quickly. (You can read more about that here!)

How long do orders take in transit?

Orders typically take between 4 and 9 days to arrive after shipping, but USPS can sometimes take longer in transit.

After we drop off the packages at the post office, we have no control over how long USPS takes, and we don't have access to any additional info than the tracking page shows. 

USPS requires 14 days since the last tracking update before a package is deemed lost. (Not just from when it was shipped, but 14 days since the most recent tracking update.) Please wait 14 days since the last tracking update before reaching out to us about a USPS delay! If it reaches that point, we will refund or replace your order.

If you aren't comfortable accepting the possibility of USPS delays, which are out of our control, we ask that you don't order. We totally understand that it's frustrating when USPS is slow! However, there's nothing we can do and no other info we have access to after a package is dropped off - unless/until it's deemed lost, in which case we'll refund or replace your order!

Can I add shipping insurance?

We don't automatically add signature confirmation because we recognize that it can be inconvenient if you're not home. However, we will gladly add signature confirmation to any order upon request! You can add a note in the cart during checkout or email us after placing your order.

We're happy to provide free signature confirmation upon request for any order over $40! For smaller orders, the USPS cost to add signature confirmation is $3.70.

What if my package is marked as delivered but I don't see it?

If you do not request signature confirmation and the mail carrier marks the order as delivered, then it isn't eligible for a refund or replacement. 

Again: IF YOU DO NOT REQUEST SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION, YOUR ORDER WON'T BE ELIGIBLE FOR REPLACEMENT OR REFUND IF IT'S MARKED AS DELIVERED.

If we were an Amazon-sized company, we'd love to be able to replace/refund anything! But we're a very small team and need to make sure that we apply our policies consistently out of fairness to everyone.

What if my package tracking hasn't shown any updates in awhile?

If it's been 14 days since the last tracking update, feel free to reach out and we'll replace or refund your order! USPS requires 14 days since the last tracking update before they'll accept any "lost package" claims. (Not just from when it was shipped, but 14 days since the most recent tracking update.)

Returns

What if my item arrives damaged?

If your items arrive damaged, we'll do our best to make it right! If your order arrives damaged, send a photo of the broken item(s) to contact@decantplanet.com within 7 days of receiving the package, and we'll refund you or replace the items.

What if I change my mind?

We don't accept returns because:

1. Fragrance preferences are very personal, and not every scent is going to be loved by all. We encourage you to buy a small sample size before considering a full bottle, because you might not like the scent.

2. Our commitment to ensuring that we never sell a fake is strict, and based on solely buying from highly reputable distributors. If we were to accept a return, we would not be able to re-sell it with 100% certainty that it was the same legitimate fragrance we shipped. (Scammers make extremely convincing fakes these days!)

Cancellations

Can I cancel an order?

You're welcome to cancel any order that hasn't been packaged yet! To request a cancellation of a pending order, email us at contact@decantplanet.com with your order number, and we'll let you know if it's been packaged yet. If it hasn't, we'll cancel the order and refund you ASAP! You can also see if it's been packaged yet by going to your order status page and checking if there's a tracking number. Sometimes it doesn't send the "order shipped" email until the next business day.

Shipping - International:

We previously shipped to many more international countries, but are no longer able to. We really wish we could! Legal restrictions around shipping perfume have become more strict.
